Join Chef Meghan Lewis for our "Fermenting Fun!" class! In this engaging, hands-on class, you'll learn simple and efficient methods and tricks to create delicious kimchi and sauerkraut.
Kimchi, a traditional Korean vegetable dish, usually consists of fermented cabbage and spices. It is crunchy, flavorful, slightly tangy, and is often eaten as a side dish or in addition to meals.
Sauerkraut is a staple food in Germany and other Central European countries. Like kimchi, sauerkraut is fermented cabbage that is crunch, tangy, and slightly sauer. However, unlike kimchi, sauerkraut is most commonly just fermented with salt. It is often used as a side or put onto foods, such as sandwiches and sausages.
Fermented foods provide probiotics to our bodies. Some of the benefits that probiotics provide include better gut health, immune function, mental health, and food digestion!
Scholarships are available for anyone for up to 100% fee coverage for this class, ensuring it is accessible to anyone. If you need a scholarship, please do not register through this site and email us instead.
