Porque son sabrosos, versátiles y nutritivos. Las semillas, incluidos los granos, los cereales, los frutos secos y las legumbres, proporcionan proteínas, fibra, vitaminas y minerales. HOW TO COOK NUTRITIOUS AND AFFORDABLE WHOLE FOOD MEALS
Eating healthy doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. Among the various edible seeds, vegetables, herbs, and spices there are endless combinations. The kitchen can be a place of play and joy, and cooking can be a rejuvenating act.
Food is energy, pleasure, celebration, and creativity. By taking care of what we eat we are also taking care of our families, the earth, and the world itself with all its beings. When you cook with plants you connect with the earth, and with your own body.
This series of classes focuses on foods made from seeds: those little packets of incredible power that can take root deep in the ground without any tools, break through and come to the surface in plant form. Isn't that magical?
And.... why focus on seed-based cooking (including GRAINS, CEREALS, NUTS and LEGUMES)? Because they are tasty, versatile, and nutritious. They provide protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Their consumption is associated with a lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers.
